ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES

A fully furnished and catered luxury lodge provides the exclusive base accommodation for our guests. The thatched lodge is able to comfortably sleep 12 guests in 6 rooms with amenities which include full bathrooms, dining and sitting areas, a swimming pool, an open lapa and fireside areas as well as a generously stocked bar.

The Eastern Transvaal Lowveld and Escarpment areas are one of the prime tourist destinations for foreign visitors to South Africa. Tours are available to these surrounding areas which include the historic gold-rush town of Pilgrims Rest, the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and numerous breathtaking waterfalls such as the Mac Mac falls and Bourke’s Potholes. This area is also well known for the local African arts and crafts or “curios” as they are commonly referred to. These hand made African articles make perfect souvenirs and are symbolic of the vibrancy and creativity of the local inhabitants. No two articles are ever the same and you will be spoiled for choice from rings and hand crafted bowls, to artwork, animal hides and sculptures.

Zander Osmers Safari also has access to a dedicated Air Charter Service which allows us to transport guests directly to and from the ranch from any airport destination in South Africa.

Catch a connecting charter directly from your international arrival airport and avoid the need for costly stay overs and further delays. We are equipped to provide an end to end service for baggage handling, ticketing and transfers to and from your international arrival airport. Our access to a variety of aircraft with seating and luggage capacity to accommodate groups of between 2 and 20 guests ensure that we can cater for your every convenience when accessing our lodge.

The lodge is a 5 hour drive from OR Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg, with the nearest local airport in Hoedspruit (Eastgate) or Phalaborwa, both of which are a 40 minute drive from the main lodge. Transfers to and from these airports can be arranged.
